Certain file types are blocked by default for security reasons. The following extensions are disallowed:
- Executable Files:
.exe, .bat, .cmd, .com, .cpl, .dll
- Script Files:
.vbs, .vbe, .js, .jse, .wsf, .wsh
- Other Potentially Harmful Files:
.ade, .adp, .chm, .hta, .ins, .isp, .jar, .lib, .lnk, .mde, .msc, .msp, .mst, .pif, .scr, .sct, .shb, .sys, .vxd, .zip
Whitelisting Blocked Attachments
You can create allowlist rules to whitelist specific attachment blocks. This allows you to override the default blocking behavior for trusted senders or specific scenarios. To learn how to create allowlist rules, see Create an allowlist rule.
