Ensure mail delivery from JetEmail IPs in Microsoft 365
Update the Connection Filter Policy in Microsoft 365
To ensure optimal delivery of emails to Microsoft 365 from JetEmail IPs, follow these steps:
This process is crucial for maintaining high deliverability rates when sending emails from JetEmail’s infrastructure to recipients using Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) email services.
Why This is Important
-
Improved Deliverability: By adding JetEmail’s IP addresses to Microsoft 365’s allow list, you’re telling Microsoft that these are trusted senders. This helps prevent your emails from being mistakenly marked as spam.
-
Bypass Certain Filters: Allowed IPs often bypass some of Microsoft’s more stringent spam filters, reducing the chance of false positives.
-
Consistent Inbox Placement: This setup helps ensure your emails consistently reach the intended inbox rather than being diverted to spam or junk folders.
-
Maintain Sender Reputation: By reducing the likelihood of your emails being marked as spam, you help maintain a positive sender reputation with Microsoft’s systems.
Before You Begin
- Ensure you have administrative access to your Microsoft 365 account.
- Obtain the list of IP addresses used by JetEmail for sending emails. You can typically find this information in your JetEmail account settings or by contacting JetEmail support.
1. Access the Anti-Spam Policies
- Go to the Microsoft 365 anti-spam policies page: Microsoft 365 Anti-Spam Policies.
- Alternatively, you can navigate there manually through the Microsoft 365 admin center.
2. Edit the Connection Filter Policy
- In the policy list, locate the Connection filter policy (Default) row.
- Note: Avoid clicking the checkbox next to the policy.
- Click on the Edit connection filter policy link.
3. Add JetEmail IPs to the Allow List
- In the connection filter policy settings, find the Always allow list section.
- Add each of the JetEmail IPs that you want to allow. You can find the list of JetEmail sending IPs at Sending IPs.
- After adding the IPs, click Save.
4. Confirm the Changes
- Upon saving, the final page should display the IP Allow list that was just added, confirming that the JetEmail IPs are now included.
By following these steps, you can ensure that emails from JetEmail IPs are delivered without delay, enhancing your email management and security.
