This error occurs when attempting to authenticate with JetEmail’s SMTP server from an IP address that isn’t authorized to use your SMTP credentials.How IP Authorization Works
IP authorization is a security measure we implement to protect your SMTP credentials from unauthorized use. Here’s how it works:- IP Restrictions: You can specify which IP addresses are allowed to use your SMTP credentials
- Authentication check: When you connect, we verify:
- Your SMTP credentials (username/password)
- Your connection’s source IP address
- Authorization verification: Even with valid credentials, we’ll reject the connection if the IP isn’t in your allowed list
How to Fix This Error
- Log into your JetEmail Dashboard at dash.jetemail.com
- Navigate to Outbound → Smarthost
- Click on your SMTP user
- Add your IP address to the IP restriction list
